Washington Set to Host 2027 NFL Draft

In a move that blends politics with pigskin, the NFL has announced that Washington, D.C. will be the proud host of the 2027 NFL Draft. The iconic National Mall will serve as the grand stage for the league's ultimate reality show.

The official announcement is set for Monday, and will feature President Trump alongside Commanders owner Josh Harris in a ceremonial kick-off event.

This decision follows the recent deal struck between the Washington Commanders, the NFL, and D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser. The agreement proposes the construction of a new state-of-the-art facility on the historic RFK Stadium site, expecting to gain approval from either the D.C. Council or possibly even a public vote.

For the 2026 event, Pittsburgh has been announced as the host city. As for historical reference, the NFL Draft has toured an array of major cities over the past decade, including Chicago, Philadelphia, Dallas, Nashville, Cleveland, Las Vegas, Kansas City, Detroit, and Green Bay.
