Seth Hammaker Takes Command with Dominant Win in New Jersey

In an exciting night at MetLife Stadium, Seth Hammaker emerged victorious in the 250 East class, marking his second win of the 2025 Supercross season. Taking control early, Hammaker seized the lead from Nate Thrasher, who grabbed the holeshot, and never looked back. He led the race for an impressive 19 laps, solidifying his position at the top of the standings.

His resilience was evident throughout the season, especially after overcoming an illness early on that marred his performance in Detroit, where he finished 17th. Despite a challenging race in the mud-filled Foxborough track, Hammaker managed to maintain his focus and build a slight lead over RJ Hampshire going into the final two rounds of the season.

For RJ Hampshire, the 2025 season has been a test of perseverance. A rough start in Tampa saw him caught up on a Tuff Blox, resulting in an 18th place finish. However, he clawed his way back with podium finishes in subsequent races, keeping him a contender in the championship chase. A win in Pittsburgh could swing the momentum in his favor as he aims to close the current gap with Hammaker.

Meanwhile, Tom Vialle, who started the round in a tight battle at the top, faced a setback. Despite earning a podium position in New Jersey, Vialle now finds himself with a seven-point deficit — a challenge as the series heads towards the East/West Showdown finale in Salt Lake City.

Cullin Park capitalized on his previous strong showing in the mud at Foxborough with another top-five finish, taking fourth in New Jersey. Nate Thrasher, despite showing early promise at Birmingham, finished fifth after being penalized a position for course cutting.

Austin Forkner displayed strong potential, riding in the top five for much of the race only to end up seventh, matching his best finish of the season.

With only two rounds remaining, all eyes are on the leaders. As the battle for the red plate heats up, Hammaker, Hampshire, and Vialle will need to leverage every opportunity to clinch the coveted championship title.

Here's how they finished in New Jersey: 1. Seth Hammaker, Kawasaki; 2. RJ Hampshire, Husqvarna; 3. Tom Vialle, KTM; 4. Cullin Park, Honda; 5. Nate Thrasher, Yamaha*; and others rounding out the top ranks.
