The Dallas Cowboys are getting a fresh start. When players reported for offseason workouts, they found a surprising twist: a reimagined locker room line-up, courtesy of newly appointed head coach Brian Schottenheimer.
In a noteworthy change, linebacker Micah Parsons now shares adjacent space with quarterback Dak Prescott. This strategic move aims to foster closer ties between two of the team’s most influential leaders.
Schottenheimer, embracing his new role, didn’t leave the seating arrangements to chance. "We moved some guys around," he noted. "This year, I did, along with the help of the staff. Players don’t really get a say in that, but there’s a method to the madness." His philosophy is simple: New year, new dynamics.
As players entered the team room for the first time, Schottenheimer welcomed them with an unexpected exercise. "I made them all stand up after they sat down, then had them move seats," he revealed. "Why? It’s a new year. We’ll do it in 2026, 2027, and beyond. A fresh start demands change."
With three years of experience as an assistant in Dallas, Schottenheimer brings a keen understanding of the facility's layout. Now, holding the reins as head coach, he’s reshaping things his way.
