After a journey full of twists and turns, Robert Griffin III is set to step into a new role, long after his rise to fame as the second overall pick in the NFL Draft. Fox is reportedly bringing Griffin into their fold as a college football game analyst.
According to Andrew Marchand of TheAthletic.com, Griffin is expected to replace Brock Huard on Fox's second-tier announcing team. Huard recently stepped away from broadcasting to dive into coaching, offering his expertise and guidance to his son’s high-school football team.
Griffin's career has been anything but conventional. Once a rising star turned persona non grata at ESPN, he found himself let go last year. Yet, the tides are shifting. Fox had eyed Griffin for their Big Noon Kickoff show during contract negotiations with Reggie Bush, and the door to broadcasting isn't done swinging for him just yet.
While his primary focus will be working college football games, the potential for Griffin to dip into studio shows every so often remains on the table, according to Marchand's insights. It's a fresh path for Griffin, and all eyes are eager to see how he navigates this new chapter in the sports media landscape.
