The Carolina Panthers are making offensive moves, securing a fresh asset for their roster.
On Sunday night, Carolina announced its agreement with veteran wide receiver Hunter Renfrow, injecting new energy into the team's lineup.
Renfrow, 29, who is keen on a successful return, sat out the 2024 season following his release from the Raiders in March of that year. Despite battling injuries, he managed to participate in all 17 games during the 2023 season with three starts, accumulating 25 receptions for 255 yards.
The former fifth-round pick from 2019, Renfrow's standout NFL season was 2021. He was pivotal in leading the Raiders to the playoffs, recording an impressive 103 catches for 1,038 yards alongside nine touchdowns, earning himself a Pro Bowl nod.
Over his career, Renfrow has established himself with 269 receptions, racking up 2,884 yards and 17 touchdowns across 73 games, with 23 of those being starts.
A native of South Carolina, Renfrow's roots are deeply connected to the region where he secured two CFP National Championships with Clemson. His return to the South marks a homecoming of sorts, ready to make waves in the NFL once again.
The Panthers are optimistic about Renfrow's potential impact, eagerly anticipating the dynamism he brings to their offensive strategy as the new season unfolds.
