Howie Roseman Remains Mum on Dallas Goedert’s Future With Eagles

As the dust settles from the NFL draft, the future of Eagles’ tight end Dallas Goedert remains cloudy. Despite not picking a new tight end during the draft, General Manager Howie Roseman kept his cards close when discussing Goedert's status.

The buzz around Goedert’s fate with the Eagles ignited when head coach Nick Sirianni, at a recent league meeting, implied that the revolving door of NFL rosters leaves few players secure. You want to be able to have back as many guys as you possibly can, but that’s not the reality of the NFL, he remarked, casting doubt on the likelihood of retaining the talented tight end.

Roseman, however, struck a more cautious tone, stating, Dallas is part of the team as we speak. Obviously, as we go forward, we’re going to continue to address things on this team and right now nothing further, during a press conference, according to a transcript from the team.

Currently, the Eagles have a roster featuring tight ends such as Harrison Bryant and Kylen Granson, alongside Goedert and Grant Calcaterra. But, should the Eagles opt to part ways with Goedert, further maneuvers at the tight end position could be in the cards.

For now, Eagles fans can only speculate as to whether Goedert will remain a fixture in Philadelphia or if Roseman’s analysis might lead to a revamped lineup in the months ahead.
