2025 NFL Draft Day 3 Recap: Browns Take Shedeur Sanders, Titans Add Pass-Catchers

The dust has settled on Day 3 of the 2025 NFL Draft, leaving several new players poised to make a splash in fantasy football.

The Cleveland Browns finally ended Shedeur Sanders' slide, selecting him at No. 144 in the fifth round. Despite a stellar college career in Colorado highlighted by a 90.9 PFF grade, his descent wasn't for lack of talent. Off-field concerns contributed to his drop, but Sanders can now compete in a crowded quarterback room that includes Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, Deshaun Watson, and fellow draftee Dillon Gabriel.

Elsewhere, the Seattle Seahawks traded Sam Howell to the Vikings, providing essential backup support. Notably, Ohio State’s Will Howard went to the Steelers, a team quarterback-hunting with uncertainty looming.

In Indianapolis, Riley Leonard from Notre Dame will join a Colts lineup focused on enhancing its ground attack. Backed by Anthony Richardson and Daniel Jones, Leonard brings potential value in specially designed run packages.

The Jaguars' backfield also received an injection of talent with Bhayshul Tuten's arrival. Known for his speed and hands, Tuten registered impressive numbers at the combine and stands ready to vie for a prominent role in Jacksonville.

Cam Skattebo joined the New York Giants, adding depth with his workhorse capabilities, although he starts behind Tyrone Tracy Jr. and Devin Singletary.

Other teams also bolstered their rosters with key additions. Tennessee focused on reinforcing their passing options, drafting Florida’s versatile Chimere Dike and two additional receivers.

Back in Cleveland, Dylan Sampson demonstrated his swift agility, rounding out a promising duo alongside Quinshon Judkins.

Kansas City invested Day 3 picks into sprightly wide organizations like Jalen Royals and burgeoning talent Brashard Smith, bolstering what is already an offense to watch.

Among the myriad running back selections, Jaydon Blue and Ollie Gordon stood out, measured considerations for achieving strategic diversity in their respective teams’ backfields.

Receiver sessions were also invigorated on the Seahawks’ and Buccaneers' fronts, as hoped-for breakout stars like Tory Horton and Tez Johnson were enlisted for targeted, zone-specific roles.

Day 3 speaks to the NFL's perpetual interest in trying prospects seeking the stars. While few emerge instant hits, the lasting impact can be felt seasons later, when their journeys come to fruition on the field.
